Play wit h spinning\, weaving and dyeing natural fibers with an organic indigo va t. Learn about the chemistry of organic indigo\, and dip your creation i n an indigo vat to dye it shades of blue. Weave your and others’ blue fibers into community-created fabric will become part of Karen Goulet an d Monique Verdin’s traveling exhibition Aabijijiwan / Ukeyat yanalleh. Stations will be set up to explore indigo dyeing and weaving on the SAO RI loom.\n\nSaturday\, Jan. 6th\, 2024\, 12-3pm\, at All My Relations Ar ts Gallery. No experience needed. We all descend from ancestors who created cloth for function and beauty wi th the help of local water sources.
